NDA & IP protection

Your drawings are not our portfolio.

Every serious buyer asks this before sending a STEP file, and most suppliers answer it with a paragraph of reassurance. Here is the version with specific commitments, so you can hold us to them.

Four commitments

These are the ones that actually get tested in practice. If any of them is a problem for your legal team, tell us and we will put it in writing.

01

Drawings are used to quote and to make your part. Nothing else.

Your files are not used for marketing, not shown to other customers, not entered into a portfolio, and not posted on this site or anywhere else. This page deliberately contains no customer parts.

02

We do not manufacture your part for another buyer.

Not as a stock item, not as a "similar" part, not under a different name. If someone else approaches us with your design, we decline and tell you it happened.

03

Tooling built for your program stays with your program.

Molds, fixtures and electrodes made against your purchase order are quoted as a separate line, are paid for by you, and are not used to run parts for anyone else. On request we will store them for a stated period, or ship them to you.

04

Access is limited to the people who have to touch the job.

Quoting, programming and inspection. Not the whole floor. Files are kept on a controlled drive rather than passed around by chat, and are removed on request.

NDA, both directions

You can sign ours or send yours. Both happen here regularly.

Mutual NDA

A plain mutual confidentiality agreement — mutual, because we also do not want your design discussed and you should not be free to publish our process details.

ADD NDA PDF — attach your mutual NDA here and link this block to the file. Until it exists, this line is the honest state of things.

If your legal team has its own NDA, send it. We sign incoming NDAs routinely, including ones that require the agreement to be executed before any file is opened. Tell us that up front and we will not ask you to attach the drawing to the first email — describe the part instead, and we will sign first.

What we ask of you

Confidentiality runs both ways, and two of these are practical rather than legal.

Mark the sensitive parts
If only one feature of a part is novel, say so. We can quote the rest of the job without needing the full assembly.
Tell us who may see it
If your customer or investor must not be named, say that in the first email, not the tenth.
Send only what is needed
A STEP file and a PDF drawing are usually enough. Full assemblies with your supplier names in the title block create work for both of us.
Name a retention period
If files must be deleted after a set time, put the number in the email and we will confirm in writing when it is done.

Privacy & data handling

Short, because a manufacturer's website does not need a long one. This is what happens to what you send.

What we collect. What you put in an email or a quote request: name, company, email, country, the part description, quantity, target date, and any files you attach. Nothing is collected silently and this site runs no advertising or analytics trackers.

How drawings are treated. As confidential business information, whether or not an NDA is signed. They are stored on a controlled drive, accessible to the people quoting and making the part, and are not shared with finishing vendors beyond the information needed to finish the part.

How long we keep it. Quotation files are kept while the quote is live and for RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 24 months afterwards so a repeat order does not need to be re-explained. Ask for earlier deletion and it is done, with confirmation.

What we never do. We do not sell, rent or trade contact data. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote. We do not publish customer names, logos or parts without written permission.

Your request. To have files or contact details deleted, email engineering@YOUR DOMAIN with the part number or the email address you used.

Do you use AI tools on customer drawings?

Yes, for two narrow tasks: generating a first-pass DFM checklist, and drafting the quote text. No drawing is uploaded to a public model for training, and no customer file is used to generate images or marketing material. If your NDA forbids third-party processing entirely, say so — we will do the review by hand.

What happens if a file is sent to the wrong person?

We tell you the same day, name what was exposed, and confirm what was recalled and deleted. A supplier that hides a misdirected email is a bigger risk than the misdirected email.

Sign first, then send.

If the NDA has to be in place before a file leaves your side, say that in one line and we will start there.

Or put the whole request in the quote form — eight fields, no account.
